Grit and Resilience @ Brighton FC

32 Year 10 students travelled to the home of Premiership Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday 24th November. An array of group and personal challenges got brains working whilst the NCOP (National collaborative outreach programme) team asked key questions about aspiration and future life plans. Mr Brown identified a number of students that stepped out of their comfort zone during the day and contributed physically and mentally.

Our students listened intently to JD, a member of the BHAFC staff, who spoke about his experience as a person with cerebral palsy. The discussion, that followed, looked at first impressions and judging other people. It was amazing to see the level of empathy and maturity in the room.

The day finished with a backstage tour of the stadium from the impressive West Stand, both training facilities and finally out on the pitch through the players tunnel.
