Key stage 3 students took part in a business themed House competition this week.

Students looked at the world of non-alcoholic drinks focused on improving the nation’s health and reducing the number of young people in the UK drinking alcohol. Statistics suggest that teenagers in Britain abuse alcohol more frequently that European counterparts so TAS students wanted to promote an alternative.

The day was reminiscent of the BBC’s Apprentice, as sub-teams looked at the costs, construction and promotion of their drink. The day culminated in senior staff and students judging the drinks and promotional materials. Team leaders were grilled on the fundamentals behind the product.
