Description of activities:

 

This course will develop a student’s understanding of the following areas:

  • Crime & Punishment Through Time (1000 to the present) and Whitechapel, c1870-1900: crime, policing and inner city.

 

  • Early Elizabethan England 1558-1588

 

Learning will be assessed by:

 

  • Written paper: Thematic Study and historic environment: Crime & Punishment c 1000 to the present. (includes Whitechapel)

 

  • Written paper: Period study and British depth study – Elizabethan section only
