Charity Work

Each year we aim to raise money for charitable causes in the local area and with links to the school.

2015/2016 £400 Sponsorship for ex-student Lucia England cycling from London to Paris for Breast Cancer Now.
2016/2017 £537 Towards the cost of pioneering surgery for Erin, a local youngster with cerebral palsy.

Operation PACSO!   We are fundraising for the Parent and Carers Support Organisation this year, an amazing local charity that provides respite care for young people aged 0-25 with severe learning difficulties and disabilities.  Some of our own students have benefited from their support in the past and others volunteer at clubs and events they run, so it seemed very fitting to support them with a scheme to fund some very special hospital bags.    Children with disabilities and severe learning difficulties are statistically much more likely to experience and emergency admission to hospital which is naturally a very distressing time for the whole family.  The PACSO hospital bag is designed to support the whole family at this difficult time.  Each bag will contain new undergarments, toiletries, a cuddly toy, a book or social story and a get-well card for the patient.  It will also include some sweets, a magazine and a Costa Coffee gift card for parents.
